David Huxley pulled a Boeing 747-400, weighing 187 tonnes (184 tons), a distance of 91 m (298.5 ft) in 1 minute and 27.7 seconds on October 15, 1997 at Sydney, Australia. David has now retired from the strongman circuit. He currently owns and runs an event management and public relations company called Tartan Warriors, based in Sydney, Australia.

Side Wheel Driving Through Smallest Gap

A team sponsored by the Sunday Times has set a new record for driving a car through the narrowest gap. In a 2006 Vauxhall Astra VXR, driver Terry Grant (UK) drove on two wheels through a gap 68 cm (26.77 in) wider than the height of the car, at the Santa Pod Raceway, Wellingborough, UK, on 17 October 2006.

Most Books Typed Backwards

Using a computer and four blank keyboards, and without looking at the screen, Michele Santelia of Campobasso, Italy, typed backwards 58 books (3,204,764 words) in their original languages including The Odyssey, Macbeth, The Vulgate Bible and the Guinness World Records Book 2002. He completed typing backwards the hieroglyphics of the 78.8 kg (174 lb) heavy Egyptian Book of the Dead, in December 2005. In 2007 Michele has been busy typing backwards the Hebrew Bible of Qumran and on 8 June he finished the typing of the Italian Constitution which he intends to present to the Italian President.
